LG may be known for its mobile phone style, but it seems the company wants to add some substance to its range. And that means beefing up the features of future handsets. First up is the LG Viewty – a 5.1-megapixel touchscreen handset that it claims will “redefine the camera phone standard”.
We’ll get to the general photography features later, but the most exciting addition is the ability to record video at 120fps – making it the world’s first camera phone to offer this. Once you have that video you’ll want to do something with it and a single-click connection to YouTube allows you to share it on the internet immediately. The LG KU990 – as the Viewty is officially known – is also LG’s first feature-oriented handset. The 5.1-megapixel camera, manual focus and image stabiliser offer high-quality photographs – backed up by image-editing abilities to improve them further. “The LG Black Label Series and our collaboration with Prada have cemented our position as an innovator in design and style,” said Skott Ahn, CEO of LG Mobile.
“With the launch of the new LG Viewty we are now also proving our commitment to technical enhancement and look forward to taking the feature phone category by storm.” |
