Nokia may have scored well with its N95 smartphone that does just about
everything apart from cash a Giro, but that doesn't mean the finns are
resting for the winter in the sauna drinking berry-flavoured vodka, no
sirree! It has officially launched its new N series phone, the N82.

kick the iPhone. A new report from a Chicago-based usability
consultancy reckons that texters have a hard time using the phone's new touch screen.

It’s often said that the best things in life, such as friendship and love, are free (awww). But according to O2, friendship costs the average Brit over £482 a year. The company’s newly launched “Your O2 Numbers” service for pre-pay customers promises to cut that cost.

Sony Ericsson says its W960 Walkman phone will start to ship this month, making it available in selected markets across the globe in time for the Christmas season. The W960, which was unveiled in June 2007, combines a slim UMTS and Wi-Fi-enabled phone with media player.

Apple’s iPhone finally goes on sale in the UK this Friday, at the extremely efficient time of 6:02pm. You can get your hands on one by visiting more than 1,300 Apple, O2 and Carphone Warehouse stores, or surfing to the online shops for those brands.
