Ok, cameras that come in different colours are nothing new, but Sony has rolled out a new range in its Cyber-shot family that should make uploading pics to social networking sites a darn sight more easier.

sony_alpha700.jpgThe great thing about digital cameras is the fact that you can plug them into your telly and see the photo of your loved one you just photographed barely 30 seconds ago (don't know why people do that, they just do!) The drawback in all this is that while the SLR may have several squillion megapixels the output is normally composite and therefore rubbish! Sony is about to change all that with an HDMI output on its new Alpha 700 D-SLR so you can see the pictures in the way they are meant to be seen - in glorious high definition.

dsct5-01a.gifPoor old Sony can't seem to do anything right at the moment. If it's not the PS3 being late to shops or batteries in laptops catching fire then it's something else. It turns out the Japanese consumer electironics giant is having to recall some 350,000 Cybershot cameras as they appeared to have cut some people.

Casio EX-Z1200Casio has released a new flagship camera into its Exilim Zoom range, pushing the boundaries with a world-leading 12.1-megapixels. The company was quick to point out that it has only been a year since it released the Exilim Zoom EX-Z1000, the first digital camera in the world to deliver 10.1 megapixel resolution in a size that fits easily in the palm of the hand.
