BlackberryGood news for corporate BlackBerry users looking to turn their handheld devices into the only computer they need. During a discussion group at HP's Print 2.0 conference in New York, senior HP staff said it could be time to bring back a printing service now there are so many of the devices out there.

"Two or three years ago we had a BlackBerry printing platform that we introduced to market," said Sharon Jones, HP's vice president of laserjet connectivity and document delivery.

"We were a little bit ahead of the market but we feel that it may be time to dust that off and bring it back."

"It is a good point, at least in terms of how we are working and the balance of time, resources and priorities," added John Johansky, HP's vice president of technology solutions and partner organisations.

"Mobility is an important component."

The company also showed a lot of interest in a suggestion by one journalist that could see email used for printing.

A service could be set up solely to print out documents and any attachments sent to that specific email address would automatically be printed out for collection later.
