Bluetooth headsets are certainly getting smaller. Oh how we laughed
when we saw the first ones. They were quite big. Although to be honest
we laughed more at the journalist that was wearing it at the time
(nobody seemed to like him and I never got the bottom of this reason).
Anyway, he's not a hack anymore and Bluetooth headsets are a lot smaller.
The new headset from Cellenden is so small, it threatens to make you look like one of those differently sane people who appear to talk to themselves.

It would seem a bit weird that BT would spend money on inviting journalists to pop up to the BT
Tower to see a mobile phone that has been out for over a year, but it
appears it takes that long to build a good service around it.

Monday, 09 June 2008 Old school. That's the two words that popped into our mind as we got our hands on Nokia's 3110 Evolve for the first time. But this isn't just a modern version of a simple Nokia handset. The Evolve could easily have been called the Eco with its green credentials...

Monday, 19 May 2008 Having previously used a plus-sized BlackBerry for work, this fruity little number from Research In Motion is sleek, light and girlie – without being silly. It's for the girl (or pink-loving boy) about town who wants to stay in the loop – in all loops!

Saturday, 17 May 2008 One million Americans can't be wrong, can they? That's how many Palm Centros have zoomed out of US stores and into the hands of mostly young users, if the marketing bods are to be believed. So what's this iccle PDA-type smartphone actually like to use?

Using your mobile is cheap-as-chips nowadays except when it comes to calling abroad, that's when it gets expensive. A new downloadable application called EQO (pronounced echo) aims to make this cheaper with what is essentially a phone card dressed up with a few extra whistles and bells.

When heard rumours of this headset being used by Swat teams and the
like, naturally we at Absolute Gadget got a little excited, maybe a
little too overexcited. Danish tech firm Nextlink claim its Invisio G5
Bluetooth headset to be the smallest in the world.

Network provider 3 launched the Skypephone on Monday. The phone lets you make free calls over the Internet when calling Skype's PC users and other Skypephones. Now we've got our hands on it, here are our first impressions.

There are a lot of phones coming onto the market that feature Wi-Fi capabilities. Oddly enough a lot of these are knee-capped by mobile operators so you can't use them to make VoIP calls. The rest that have no such handicap often have no decent software that will turn your humble mobile into a VoIP handset. Luckily the guys from mobile VoIP outfit Truphone
sent us a Nokia N95 to test their company's new service to make cheap
(or free) phone calls without going near a GSM or 3G network.

Tuesday, 09 October 2007 There was a bit of excitement about finally getting our hands on the stylish black Prada phone from LG, especially as it has just won the Mobile Choice Fashion Phone of the Year award, the second year LG has scooped this coveted prize. All the signs were looking good...
