Domia says bye bye to high energy bills

domia_plug.gifWith all the talk of carbon emissions, greenhouse gases and the need to look after the planet it should come as no surprise to anyone that energy consumption is a major issue. A large chunk of this is wasted at home by devices being left on standby. To combat this Domia has introduced their energy saving plug.

The ‘Bye Bye Standby' hopes to save consumers up to £38 on their electricity bill by cutting off the power to whatever gizmo's they may have plugged into it that are not always in use.

It is hoped that energy consumption and money is saved by eliminating the standby mode.

It sounds like a good idea but whether consumers are prepared to adjust all the settings on their gadgets when turned on again is another matter.

Perhaps this is one for the more eco friendly out there.
