wii_small.jpgOwners of the oft-lauded Wii console may be getting slightly board of just playing Wii Sports all the time (mainly because copyiesof Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is so hard to find).

But Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime made various hints that a big game is on the cards for the Wii and this will be launched at the E3 Expo in July.

Speaking on Game Trailers TV, he said: “All I can tell you is what we announce during E3 is gonna be fantastic. The gamer is gonna be excited and the expanded audience is gonna be excited."

“We’re going to unveil the whole second half during E3,” said the Fils-Amie. “I mean come on there’s more than enough to get people excited. We’re going to have great new content maximizing all of our key franchises. It’s going to be a good second half. There’s going to be a big game for the holidays that the gamers will want.”

On this snippet of news, Wii forums went into rumour overdrive. Currently the most played-out rumour is that Donkey Kong is heading to the Wii. But Fils-Amie also said that work on Nintendo’s new Wii Orchestra game was well advanced. Wii Orchestra will allow you to conduct your own orchestra and play numerous instruments. It’s a bit like Guitar Hero but for the Classic FM crowd we guess.
Whatever it is, we are looking forward to reviewing the game and telling you about it.
