A Nokia N96 yesterdayKeep yours eyes peeled on the 22 September. Mobile phone giant Nokia is planning to unveil a "unique new project" that is set to "revolutionise entertainment on the go". The "innovative new Nokia project" will launch in conjunction with the Nokia N96 handset


The teaser statement comes on the back of a host of announcements in North America that might – but probably don’t – shed any light.

Nokia is Partnering with Canadian carrier Rogers Wireless to launch new services, allowing customers to experience "the latest in mobile gaming and navigation".

Nokia is also expanding its N-Gage gaming service with two new titles from Gameloft: Million Dollar Poker and Prince of Persia Zero.

"The convergence of mobility and the internet is changing the way people communicate, play, share, search and consume content," said Mark Louison, president of Nokia North America.

"Nokia continues to build extensive partnerships with all facets of the industry, including carriers, technology providers and content publishers to deliver upon the promise of a converged mobile experience."
