If you are like Mrs. Gadget and want to spend endless hours down the
gym listening to your favourite techno dance music, it is good to have
something that will last the course musically and give you a bit of
variety. SanDisk reckons its got a much better version of the iPod
Shuffle with its 8GB Sansa Clip.

The tiny music player is possibly a tiny bit bigger than the Shuffle
(1.35 x 2.17 x 0.65 inches) but where it scores big is the proper
display and now it has 8GB of storage. That’s up to 2,000 songs at
256kbps (in mp3 format) or 4,000 songs at 128kbps (if you can stand the
poorer sound quality).

It should also last 25 per cent longer in battery life terms compared
to Apple’s oft-neglected player, lasting 15 hours on a single charge.

Format wise it supports MP3, WMA, WAV, Audible audiobooks and Ogg.
There is also a built-in FM tuner, an integrated microphone and support
for subscription services like Rhapsody To Go and Napster. All this for
£50, it’s the bargain of the century, surely.
