nokia_5800_the_tube_small.jpgNokia has revealed that its 5800 XpressMusic phone, aka the Tube, will launch in the UK on 23 January.

The
phone goes on sale at the phone giant’s UK flagship store in Regents
Street from 10am that morning as well as Nokia’s Heathrow Terminal Five
shop.

The phone, Nokia’s first touchscreen, will be on sale for £249 sim-free and that includes a plectrum.

It will then roll out to other retailers on 30 January. These include Vodafone, O2,
Orange, T-Mobile UK, Virgin Mobile, Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U.

While
the phone is more geared to being a music player, rivalling Apple’s
iPhone, there are rumours that it could also sport the N-Gage gaming
platform.
