Cisco showed off its media hub last night. And as well as hooking you up at home, this could also be an awesome upgrade for those on the road.

The hub comes in three flavours: the 500GB NMH305; the 500GB NMH405, which adds an LCD screen for browsing and a 6-1 memory card reader; and the 1TB NMH410.

Naturally, these three allow you to access and stream digital music, photos, and videos throughout the home.

However, the browser-based user interface also lets you log onto the device from anywhere in the world and play your content using the built-in player.

So you could access your music collection no matter where you are, show off your photos without lugging all your own stuff with you, or watch vids at work (just watch for the boss coming around the corner!).

You can even upload content to the device directly using the card reader, so you don’t have to fire up your PC.

The NMH305 costs $299.99, the NMH405 sells for $349.99 and the NMH410will set you back $429.99.
