ps3_2consoles.jpgThe Xbox 360 was cheap enough over Christmas to tempt many into parting
cash making Sony a distant third in the console wars in 2008, but the
Japanese games console vendor has come out fighting accusing its rivals
of "peddling add-ons" that bump up the price of owning a next-gen
machine.

Sony has taken a few lessons from gamers and indulge itself in trash talking the opposition.

"The Xbox 360 requires additional money, multiple upgrades, and
additional external devices, putting a burden on the wallet, and adds
clutter to the entertainment centre," the press release hissed.

It also few into a rage at the Nintendo Wii, beloved by people who don’t call themselves gamers.

It said the "Wii’s lack of enhanced features comes at the expense of a comprehensive entertainment solution".

"So as PS3 continues to evolve without the need for additional parts or
expenses, expect the competition to continue peddling add-ons in an
effort to keep up with the Jones’," it begged.

Of course, the consumer electronic giant bigged-up its own PS3 box
and harped on about its Blu-ray player, wireless connectivity, big hard
drive, online gaming, etc, etc, etc.

Things get worse when it puts tables into a press release.
