Google has one for its Android and Microsoft looks like it will be
opening one during the Mobile World Congress. But rumour has it that
even Nokia thinks that it is a good idea to open one.

The
Finnish mobile phone giant looks set to launch an App store for its
Symbian-based smartphones during the big trade show in Barcelona next
week.

According to this blog,
the store has been up and running for a while, but in stealth mode. One
blogger, by the name of Eldar Murtazin, said that the Nokia portal was
looking "so so".

"They are trying, polishing it and a lot has
changed for the better in a matter of days. A right step in a right
direction… And the distribution and revenue sharing model between app
makers and Nokia looks very attractive," he said.

Microsoft will definitely be unveiling its application portal at the
show, hopefully it will have a mobile OS people will like using.
