What the frack will the Hannspree Hannsnote notebook look like? Still loving the look of that Asus Seashell notebook? Well it could have a new competitor sooner than it realised. Hannspree has today revealed that it plans to enter the highly competitive mini notebook market.

Best known for its extraordinary themed TV designs, Hannspree is hoping to penetrate the mini notebook market with a range of designer products.

Martin Kent, Hannspree’s territory manager for the UK and Northern Europe, told AG that the new Hannsnote range would be a winning combination of “wow factor design” and “practical portable computing”.

“We have drawn upon our expertise in unique design and quality display manufacturing to create, what we believe, will be the new fashion accessory for the modern gadget lover that demands style,” Kent added.

The Hannsnote will initially be available in glossy piano black and glossy ice white.

It will boast; a “stunning” 10-inch LCD display, a full-size keyboard, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, built in Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) and BlueTooth connectivity.

“Most importantly the Hannsnote will include a large 6cell battery for long battery life and will weigh only 1.2kg,” Kent added.

Proposed retail price at launch will be £289 including VAT, although that has yet to be confirmed.
