Nokia 5800Fans of Horne, Cordon and Brydon can now carry the boys wherever they go, thanks to a deal between Vodafone and BBC Worldwide. From today, Gavin & Stacey fans can buy a Nokia 5800 on Vodafone UK that comes with Series Two of the hit show installed.

The Nokia 5800 has a 3.2-inch widescreen display and an on-board 3D surround sound, as well as a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, built-in A-GPS, touch screen with tactile feedback and up to 16GB storage.

The second series of Gavin and Stacey, in which Smithy (James Corden) learns he is to become a father, was originally aired on BBC2 in 2008.

The phone is available from free on a number of price plans from 15th May 2009 available in Vodafone stores and online.

Meanwhile, mobile operator 3 has signed a deal to sponsor original comedy on Channel 4. "In a series of light-hearted idents, 3 shows its humourous side by poking fun at what people love and hate about using the internet," the comapny says.

The sponsorship deal, which runs until the end of 2009, will support "a bevy of comic geniuses" across a range of channels including Channel 4, E4, More4 and 4onDemand.

Shows included are BAFTA nominated comedies Star Stories and Peep Show, the established hit series 8 Out Of 10 Cats hosted by Jimmy Carr, as well brand new shows such as an entertainment chat show with Alan Carr.

Up-and-coming comedian Spencer Brown kicks off 3’s series of idents, the concept behind which is a ‘live’ stand-up set based entirely on Mobile Internet.

Brown will share his surreal observations about how we use the internet on our phones, what we can’t live without and what drives us round the bend.

3’s sponsorship series kicks off on 16 May with Greatest Comedy Catchphrases on E4, closely followed on the 20 May with Ricky Gervais.
