ferarri_f355_berlinetta_citreon_2cv_fourgonnette_bread_van.jpgWhat do you get when you combine a 2CV with a Ferarri? A bread van that can do 180Mph. And no, it’s not a joke…

The new vehicle combines the body of a 12bhp Citroen 2CV Fourgonnette bread van with the chassis and engine of a Ferrari F355 Berlinetta. It took over £150K and five years to build.

"We decided to purchase the Ferrari even though we didn’t know what we were going to do with it," Nicolo Lamberti, one half of the team that completed the work, told Ananova.

"But because of our crazy minds we were confident that an idea would soon come to us. Then we saw the 2CV and Milko [Dalla Costa, the other half of the design team], who is a Citroen collector, had the idea of combining its body shell with the Ferrari. The 2CV hardly cost anything because it was in such bad condition. It had no engine and all that was left was the body shell."
