LG_GW300People love the BlackBerry. People love those Nokia phones that look exactly like the BlackBerry (E71 we’re looking at you). Now LG is getting in on the act with a phone that looks like… well you get the idea.

The LG GW300 has a full QWERTY keypad, a 2.4-inch landscape display and a five-way navigational pad for browsing.

The “made for messaging handset” also features a designated Facebook application.

“It didn’t come as a surprise last week that Facebook announced its user number now totals 300 million, as the mobile industry is continuing to experience consumer demand for social networking focused devices,” said Jeremy Newing, head of marketing, LG Mobile UK and Ireland.

“The new LG GW300 maintains LG’s dedication to bringing innovative social networking handsets to the market as they increasingly become the central communication point for avid social network users.”

The LG GW300 also features:
* LiveSquare, with onscreen avatars for contacts
* 3.5mm headphone jack
* FM radio
* Expandable memory up to 4GB.

It’s available from O2 in electric blue and in vibrant red on Orange.
