Sky lands on Xbox on 27 OctoberSky has confirmed that its Sky Player internet catch-up service will launch on Xbox 360 on 27 October.

The date had previously leaked in Sky’s own magazine but the company had refused to confirm this until now.

While you don’t need to subscribe to Sky’s satellite service you will require Xbox Live gold membership as well as pay an additional fee to access content.

The Sky Player will allow access to programmes on Sky’s channels as well as live streaming.

European Xbox community manager Graeme Boyd revealed the launch date on Twitter: “October 27 – that’s the date when you’ll be able to watch TV from Sky on your Xbox 360. Channel line-up and pricing to come at launch.”
