While no-one outside of Cupertino knows fully of its existence, we can assume that the New York Times knows a little more detail than the rest of us. Behold the Apple Slate tablet PC.
A senior figure at the paper let slip the news when discussing putting the NYT on different platforms.
“We need to figure out the right journalistic product to deliver to mobile platforms and devices,” said Bill Keller is an executive editor at the NYT. “I’m hoping we can get the newsroom more actively involved in the challenge of delivering our best journalism in the form of Times Reader, iPhone apps, WAP, or the impending Apple slate, or whatever comes after that.”
The new tablet is thought to be bigger than the iPhone but smaller than the MacBook and cost around $700.
