Scosche_IDR650_headphonesChampagne bottles rest easy. Not all ship launches require one of your brethren to be sacrificed as a smashing tribute on the side of a new ship’s hull. Take Scosche Industries‘ new IDR650m earphones – the flagship model of the company’s in-ear range. Still, they’ve apparently been “designed by audio enthusiasts for audio enthusiasts”, so might be worth cracking open the champagne anyway…

The “audiophile-grade” IDR650m earphones are compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPod shuffle (Gen 3), iPod touch (Gen 2), iPod nano (Gen 4), iPod classic (120GB) and newer Mac computers purchased after Oct 2008.

“The single and dual flanged silicone inserts provide unparalleled noise isolation and comfort and come in small, medium and large sizes for the ultimate fit,” said the company’s official statement.

“Delivering advanced sound quality, the IDR650m earphones accurately reproduce brilliant highs, silky smooth mids and powerful bass for all music genres. They come with Scosche’s tapLINE control technology, which enables users to easily play, pause, adjust volume and skip tracks from the tapLINE control surface conveniently located on the cord.”

The headphones also include an integrated microphone for hands free conversations, voice command and recording voice memos on supported iPod and iPhone models.

The cable length is 52-inches and there is a travel pouch included for safe storage. Available now, they are priced at £59.95.
