Asus touchscreen PC makes bid for home entertainment hub

Asus would very much like for you to move your desktop PC out of the study and into the living room. So much so it has launched its new all-singing, all-dancing multitouch PC.

The new Eee Top PC ET2010 boasts a 20-inch high-definition display and a slim one-inch profile making it ideal for wall-mounting.

Described by the comapny as “affordable contender as a home entertainment system.” the screen sports a resolution of 1200 x 600, HDMI, SRS virtual 5.1 surround sound, and is scratch and damage resistant.

Inside, it has an Intel Atom dual Core D510 1.66GHz and an Nvidia ION2010 graphics chip. It also comes with 2GB memory, upgradable to 4GB, a 500GB hard drive, WiFi, webcam and digital array microphone.

The ASUS Eee Top PC ET2010 is priced at £619.99 and in the shops now.
