The Royal Mail has taken stamps into the 21st Century by launching the world’s first ‘Intelligent Stamp’. Launched for the latest Great British Railways Special Stamps edition, it uses image recognition and an app to deliver bonus content.
The Intelligent Stamp can be accessed on an iPhone or Android Smartphone via the Junaio application. The app contains a Royal Mail channel which activates the phone’s camera and launches the exclusive online content, featuring Bernard Cribbins reading W H Auden’s poem, The Night Mail.
The application is available from iTunes and Android Market free of charge, and the stamps themselves are available from the Royal Mail’s eBay shop.
