So none of us have jet packs and eating food pills, but we may have a taste of the future soon as scientists have developed clothing you can spray on.
Called Fabrican, it is fabric an a can and is the combined efforts of Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art. Fabrican consists of cotton fibres and polymers dissolved in a solvent to keep it as a liquid. The fibres can then be sprayed onto the body where they cross-link to form a fabric on the body.
Fabrican can be used to create any item of clothing and the team will be showing off dresses created by the material at London Fashion Week.
