“It’s true, the new Myspace and Facebook are friends,” says the world’s least likely marketing statement. “And now, the new Myspace comes with Facebook Mashup!” No, that doesn’t involve Mark Zuckerberg‘s face and a baseball bat, it just means that Myspace looks at what you like on FB and creates a content channel based on that info.
“Along with our sweet new logo and layout, Mashup turns your Likes into real content on Myspace, creating a personalised entertainment stream full of videos, music, and more just for you,” Myspace’s marketing email continues.
“We’ll pull your Likes from Facebook and automatically add or follow the entertainment you love.”
Users can then customise their interests by checking and unchecking the stuff they want to follow.
