virgin_media_logoCable TV provider Virgin Media has published pictures of its forthcoming Tivo-powered PVR’s user interface.

The first picture of its Connected TV service shows the main menu with links to the TV Guide, its Catch-up service and Video-on-Demand. There is also a search and browse facility as well as games and applications (no doubt Facebook will appear on there at some point).

In the second picture, users can search for content. Typing in the letter J brings up the movie Julie and Julia, Justin Bieber track Somebody to Love and Julia Roberts.

Lastly, the third screenshot gives details of animated sitcom Family Guy with options to not only record all future episodes but catch up on those previously missed.

Cindy Rose, Executive Director of Digital Entertainment at Virgin Media, said: “Virgin Media’s next generation connected TV service, powered by TiVo and combined with our superior broadband, will blow other connected TV products out of the water. It will appeal to anyone and everyone looking for the best of live broadcast TV, catch-up, on-demand and Internet apps and services.”

The service is set to launch in December.
