Mobiles for the older generation are few and far between, luckily Doro has the niche pretty much sewn up, but that doesn’t mean its products are sub-par. The Doro PhoneEasy 610 shows that it is all about making phone technology easy to use for old people and indeed everyone.

The Doro PhoneEasy 610 mobile phone is a clamshell styled mobile phone for answering and ending calls with a flip. It sports raised edges, soft touch coating and widely spaced concave keys for maximum comfort and ease of use

The Doro PhoneEasy 610 is both sturdy and offers great battery life, so it will last a long time in every aspect. Other features include charging cradle, bluetooth, enhanced sound and security functions.

The direct SMS key makes it easier to send and read text messages and the smart emergency text message and call key on the back means older people can feel more secure wherever they are. There is also an easy to read menu and extra clear sound. The product is M3/T4 hearing aid compatible & the maximum ringer volume at one metre is 85 decibels.

It sports large buttons and characters combined with louder speaker volume. This phone also includes useful features like wake up alarm, reminders and emergency button.

It also boasts a 300 number phonebook with multiple numbers on each name (home, mobile, work), Vcard via SMS, top 10 contacts function, speed dial memories, handset volume settings, speakerphone with volume control, headset outlet, headset volume setting, mute function, backlit keypad and call timer.

The Doro 610 GSM is a very robust cell phone, suitable in the main for the elderly or otherwise infirm. While this won’t be popular for younger people, it’s not really aimed at them. The elderly people we tried the phone with all found it easy to use and loved having a phone that for them just worked!

The Doro PhoneEasy 610 GSM Sim Free Mobile Phone – Black is available from Amazon for £84.95.
