We all want to be healthy! But how can we avoud the temptations of a packet of crisps and a glass of red? The trick is to monitor ourselves. The iFIt Band promises to track what we do in order to create a healthier, fitter self.

But life is busy, whether you have a stressful job, family commitments or just a lack of motivation, perhaps keeping track of the exercise you do maybe the spur to get fitter. The iFit band is an adjustable activity tracker that can be worn on the wrist, or on a clip and is water resistant.

The display shows the time, steps taken and the percentage reached for daily goals. As well as this it can show distance, calorific intake and expenditure as well as net calories.

Goals can be adjusted via the iFit Active app as well as personal sleep patterns. It can be set to whatever time is preferred. The iFit Band will alert you with a move alert on its display. It also displays notifications when goals are achieved.

The ban is very comfortable to wear and can be worn 24/7. It is easy to snap on and remains secure throughout the day.

The digital readout is clear to read and can give you the information you need whenever you like.

The battery life is good, one charge got over three weeks of use before another charge was needed. Charging is via a USB cable, so not at all inconvenient.

The app is compatible with the iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 5th Gen and Android 4.3 or higher.  Syncing is easy to carry out simply by holding the upper and lower bottom buttons on the iFit Active and within seconds your data is synced with the iFit app.

The app is still in its early days so we expect updates to come thick and fast and iron out a few foibles in the future and make it even better to use in the future.

Overall, the price is a bit steep at £99 but if you want to keep fit, what price health?
