Next time you speak to Siri on your iPhone ask her to beatbox for you. Not only that, she has some other remarkable talents hidden away.

Of course, you have to ask nicely. Just press the home button for Siri to appear and say “Beatbox”. She will then try to beatbox for you. To be honest, it is not that great. She’ll tell you, “Here’s one I’ve been practicing” and the just say “boots and cats” over and over again. But a nice try nonetheless.

She will also pause and say the phrase over and over again if you let her.

We are not sure why Siri (or Apple) chose this particular phrase but beatboxer Jerimya Reyes has been teaching the world via YouTube how to beatbox by using the exact same phrase. Siri has been able to Beatbox since at least last November and perhaps even longer.

You can also teach Siri to beatbox by typing in some letters into Messages, highlighting the text and tapping on “Speak” as an option.

You can also ask Siri to try rapping, but she politely declines the offer.

Siri has also been asked in the past to carry out impossible maths such as dividing zero by zero. She says: “Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them evenly among zero friends”. “And Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies, and you are sad that you have no friends”.
