Robot vacuums have come a long way since they first appeared in the 1990s. Everything is done via the wi-fi and can be linked to a smart home system via an app.
The Ecovacs Deebot N79S robot vaccum has three leaning modes and scheduling accessible from the ECOVACS Home App ensures an effortless, thorough clean while you do things you really love. Its low sound level allows you to have conversations or watch TV while it cleans. Max Mode double suction power to better clean your hard floors and carpets of dirt and dust when needed. The 520ml dustbin allows DEEBOT N79S to take full advantage of 110 minutes of runtime.
The Wi-Fi and Alexa connectivity, though unnecessary, are definitely convenient features to have. When activating the Alexa skill, wait at least 15 minutes AFTER registering your account and device with ECOVACS. Otherwise, you’ll undoubtedly run into the invalid username or password error.
The DEEBOT vacuum cleaner is very easy to setup since we just looked at the quick start with very simple steps and put it on work right away!
For a big room, it will take some time to clean every inch since it could choose to clean some area several time until finding every corner area. A good part is that when it was working, I didn’t see dust in the air, which helped maintain air quality.
This unit is definitely quieter than some Roomba counterparts. It is also smaller and much lighter. It does a surprisingly good job at cleaning. It picks up small dirt, hairs, everything. Does edges well and even cleans the chair feet better than expected. I have also very clean carpets and runs. The quality of the device is quite good, its not rugged by any means, but I don’t see any vulnerabilities making it prone to breakage.
We have tried various Roomba products over the years and without question the Deebot does a better all around job of cleaning the house than any of them. It maps as it goes and uses the map to systematically clean rather than just bouncing off objects.
