iXpand Flash Drive review

As the iPhone and iPad still have not completely embrace USC-C, it falls to vendors to provide a way for owners of these devices a mean to increase storage.

The iXpand Flash Drive offers an easy way to free up space on your iPhone, automatically backs up your camera roll, and even lets you watch popular-format videos straight from the drive.

The drive has both a flexible Lightning connector that works with most cases and a USB 3.0 connector to plug into your Mac computer or PC so you can easily move your stuff where you want it. The iXpand Flash Drive also includes encryption software that lets you password-protect files, so you can share your content while keeping sensitive files secure across your devices.

Transferring files between a MacBook or laptop and the iPhone is always a bit of a hassle. You have to turn Bluetooth /airdrop on, or you have to email the file to yourself, which is a bit of a problem if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi. This flash drive makes such transfers very easy. It was easy to setup and share files between MacOS, iOS as well as Windows. You can share any files, not just pics.
