For streamers, casters and work from home professionals, a good microphone can make all the difference in making yourself understood to others over the internet.

The new HyperX QuadCast S is a SB microphone featuring RGB lighting effects customisable with HyperX NGENUITY software. It comes equipped with a built-in anti-vibration shock mount, built-in pop filter, and a tap-to-mute sensor with an LED status indicator.

The QuadCast S microphone offers four polar patterns – stereo, omnidirectional, cardioid, and bidirectional – to optimise broadcast and work from home setups. In addition to an internal pop filter designed to reduce plosive sounds for clearer audio quality, QuadCast S comes with a stand featuring a built-in anti-vibration shock mount, quick gain control and a 3.5mm headphone output for live mic monitoring.

The QuadCast S microphone offers multi-device chat program compatibility and is certified by Discord and TeamSpeak™. The included versatile adapter fits both 3/8-inch and 5/8-inch thread sizes and is compatible with most stands and boom arms. The QuadCast S microphone is designed to deliver quality sound on PC, PS4 or Mac.

Firstly, this mic has all the same settings as you would have on the Yeti, but how does the sound compare. Seriously this mic blows the blue yeti out of the water. The blue yeti has awesome audio capture, but this piece of kit is on another level. Beautiful low and mid tones, crisp high tones and overall stunning clarity.

There is a gain slide on the bottom of the mic which helps with being further away from the mic, however, remember more gain equals more white noise and background unwanted audio. As standard this mic is fitted with a shock mount and internal pop filter, but I do recommend an external pop filter if you are going to be close to the mic.

Third, the sound. Voice feels clean and neutral with high quality to be able talk to friends in voice chat whilst gaming and even use for video recording like for YouTube videos.

The build quality out of the box feels amazing. There was an awful lot of weight to the mic. until that is you remove the included stand to put the mic on a boom, where you will realise it is EXTREMELY light weight.

The HyperX QuadCast S USB microphone is available for €179.99 / £159.99 MSRP through HX SHOP and local retailers/etailers in selected countries across EMEA.
